I booked this hotel as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. The majority of staff were very welcoming and very helpful. We stayed in a classic room, on the first floor, everything was fine and the bed was very comfortable, however, the first night was incredibly warm even with the heating set to 0 and the windows wide open. The next morning we spoke to a member of staff on reception and asked if he could help us to get the air conditioning working. He said the air con is not used in April. I explained we slept very poorly due to the heat and the noise from outside (as we had to have the windows open all night). He was not interested in helping us and just started speaking to someone else and ignored us. Other than this incident we had a very good stay.

Ideal location, great room, good price. Only thing missing was a small bar which a hotel of this standard should offer, otherwise no negative feedback.

Everything okay in general but the TV is not working properly, sometime speak louder and sometime speak normal! The air condition inside the room is not enough, it will be hot in the summer time.

We travelled as a family with newborn. Everything was great. It was our 2nd time at this Hotel and we'll definitely come back again.

The Château de la Ballue’s splendid garden is immortalized in a very good book of photographs and texts signed Yann Monel and Marianne Niermans.
Spaces, perspectives, plays of light and shadows, shades of green, the 1500-yew maze and many other elements of this unbelievable place are sublimated to make you live a peaceful moment…. that will certainly makes you want to plan a visit to the Château de la Ballue to see it for real.
